Benadryl Quick Dissolve Strips – Oh Where Have You Gone?
As you may have read in a different post, we had a very scary incident that required an Epipen injection, two additional intravenous doses of epinephrine and an overnight stay in the hospital for our daughter. More importantly, she almost missed the Ed Sheeran concert in St. Louis the next day! Whew.
After ingesting a piece of cashew in a fruit bar, she had an immediate reaction. Within one minute I found the Benadryl Fast Melt Tabs and gave her two. However, her tongue and throat were so swollen that she could not even keep the tabs in her mouth to begin dissolving. She actually threw up immediately. This episode was eventually taken care of. But what if we could have given her the Benadryl Quick Dissolve Strips which dissolved instantly? We used them for the kids when they were very young because of how easy they were to ingest. Were they discontinued? If so, why?
